Very predatory company. Budget billing (the only option in certain areas) is not explained up front resulting in 300 of \overages\ being charged. I wasn't even in the apartment for most of my lease... If you end up with bge as your provider please do the due diligence of understanding exactly how much you'll get billed. They will try to hide it

We were BGE customers in a previous house and our current house. I the previous house we had frequent outages due to overhead transmission lines. The crews were responsive and customer service was good. We were very pleased with time of use rates!! We have not been in our current house long, but are very happy with the srevice. We called several times to get average electric bills for potential houses. The customer service reps were fast and friendly. I just called on a street light that was out. Eventhough it wasnt on their street light map it was fixed witin a day. We've already been through a hurricane, tornado and several severe thunderstorms and only experienced a momentary loss of service. Keep up the good work!!

BGE inspected our house for issues and stated that our heater was leaking gas. They shut off our heater leaving us with no heat. The fire Department and heater guy inspected area and found no leak. The heater rep. also found nothing wrong with the heating system. Nothing was shown to be wrong with equipment in our house.

I've lived in several east coast areas, including areas of Maryland serviced by Pepco. BGE is the most incompetent provider I've ever dealt with. Most of their customer service representatives sound too young to have ever paid a utility bill themselves, which may help explain why they all have different versions of the status of your account or what reasonable vs unusual usage amounts and charges are. Many claim that can't even produce billing and histories and don't understand that this would be an illegal practice. They have no live customer service locations like the other providers in the area. I have no idea why they haven't been shut down.

As an individual who ran away from my mother's house aka the last known Location I've had love in my heart, I have been living in and out of vacant houses for the majority of my life, so once God blessed me with finding homeless housing I took the opportunity to use my gas and electric unwisely, I'm still trying to pay off my bill seeing as I don't have all of the money however with BGE's smart energy bill break down plan I'm able to fit the bills in my day to day life PS: if y'all hiring I'm definitely down available
