I had the Marco Pollo skillet today. By the time I received it, it wasn't especially hot. No blame on Chuck's Trading Post, and not the point of my review. The point of my review is that even at sub-optimal temperature, the food was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Corn cut right off the cob! Actual fresh jalapenos! Potatoes cooked to perfection, and plenty of (but not too much) cheese and salt. A new favorite!

Honestly, a hidden gem on an average residential street. You could totally miss this country store looking joint, for it'soff the beaten path. Walking up, the grey metal awning, red exterior and flowers all around almost made look for a rocking chair on the porch. Chuck's Trading Post offers indoor and outdoor seating, as well as pick-up. I ordered the turkey BLT: arugula, tomato, avocado, onion, sprouts and Chipotle mayo on hearty wheat bread. Nice balanced flavor, quality fresh ingredients and the Chipotle mayo added nice subtle heat to complete the flavor profile. Your order is served with a bag of chips. They serve fries only on Wednesdays, otherwise as a substitute they offer a tasty potato hash, potato salad or mixed greens. The menu also covers breakfast, to include shimp n grits; they have burgers and sandwiches and if you're having a party check out their catering menu. It includes a whole roasted suckling pig! They have a variety of beverages to offer: sodas, kombuchas, cocktails, wine and beer. I had a local kombucha that was very refreshing and not high in sugar. The desert menu is short, if I even saw one, but the open kitchen is definitely serving up great eats. Enjoy!
We've been getting take out from Chuck's pretty regularly during quarantine. Their Tuesday Bahn Mi and Wednesday burger specials are awesome!
We recently moved to Hampden and live walking distance from Chuck’s. Breakfast skillets are delicious and filling, burgers on Wednesday were yum and a great deal for 12 including a beer! People that work here are friendly and personable. Inside is so cool and pretty in its own way! They also have 2 outdoor tables which is nice when the weather permits. I’m glad it’s so close!
So simple and straight forward, but the portions are huge and the food is so fresh and good. This place is great!
