If you are in search of satisfying, gainful employment - by all means - keep on searching. This is NOT the job for you! Consider this the best advice you will receive all day. The office environment is nothing short of TOXIC, being largely dependent on the erratic "high" and "low" mood swings of management personnel. Walking on eggshells each morning, you never knew whether you'd be walking into a calm, largely welcoming environment or that of one already perpetuated by shrieking rants and loud screaming. Very unprofessional, especially since phone customers had been known to overhear the background chaos. No employee should ever have to navigate these waters as part of their job description. Keep in mind, this behavior was allowed to prevail, without reprimand or repercussions by 'upper' management. Such was the office dynamic. Grievances were seldom addressed, rarely rectified and usually ignored. Good case in point - the above-mentioned situation. I've always been gracious and grateful as far as raises have been concerned. They have usually been bestowed upon me as a reward for being a loyal, hard-working individual. The average has been an additional 2.00 per hour. This makes an employee feel valued and appreciated, as well as gives them the incentive to do EVEN better. After working at this place for over six years, as a hard-working, loyal, thorough, determined, college-educated employee ----- do you know what my "final" raise was in dollars and cents??? No dollars and under thirty-three cents!! Now keep in mind we were not an establishment of thousands; but, a company of FOUR people. FOUR PEOPLE. Just do yourself a favor and kindly heed this advice. Save yourself some grief; go back to INDEED.
