First, let me say as a proud resident of Balitmore City - yet to hit the Market, I expected a little shady, a little ghetto flare, and perhaps a little dingy because it was so old. Well, yeah, it was a little of all that BUT, I had great time and felt totally comfortable. The Market was bustling, people were happy enjoying the stands and choices. BIG TWO TIPS - 1. If driving, enter via Eutaw Rd. The lot is secure, leads right into the Market is WELL PRICED at 3 n change per hour, but IF you're fast, and out in 30 min - FREE. I hit 4 stalls, captured some great photos all in 25 min. It's labeled a \market\ but it's alot more akin to an underground or old mall food court. Only with REALLY good every day food, and local pricing. As others have said, priced for locals. See pics (4 JUMBO slices of cake, an order of fried vegetables, chicken wings and a corn dog ALL for only 19 bucks. The only ouch on price was the famous crab cake joint for 16. Very nice lump cake but I bought to \ say I did the Baltimore thing.\ Don't buy the horror stories - go, enjoy, eat - welcome to Baltimore!

Saw a rat last time I was there. The peopla are selling ever illegal drung you can name. It' s a very diverse group of people and most of them loo k as if they should be in a Opioid program. So sad, I don't like having my grandchildren with me when I go to Lexington Market because they ask a lot of valid questions about the people and I really don't know how to answer. I don't like saying negative things. But GOD there go I. None of the vendors where hair nets. Just seems to be very nasty. I love the fresh peanuts and also the all beef hotdogs and coffee from Constants. They will sell you food that is no good and think nothing of it!
