I came to Dr. Haroun for a second opinion after a month of excruciating back/leg pain, along with foot numbness and weakness. I had little relief from conservative treatments. Both doctors recommended the same procedure, but Dr. Haroun went above and beyond to facilitate my pre-op preparation and was able to get me in for surgery in less than a week. I had immediate relief from the pain, with the numbness and weakness gradually improving as he said it would. The recovery from the surgery itself was easy compared to the month before. I was walking that day and able to increase speed and distance daily. After a week or so of limited activity, I have been able to gradually return to my normal activities with little limitation. I am so grateful for Dr. Haroun and his staff for compassionately guiding me through an extremely difficult situation, relieving my pain, and getting me back on my feet.

I recently received lumbar microdisectomy surgery from Dr. Haroun. I had crippling nerve pain down the right leg for three years. After failed steroid shots and PT, I contacted Dr. Haroun and we discussed the options. Surgery was agreed to be the best option for long-term recovery. It has been two weeks since the surgery and I have seen nearly 100% improvement. The overall surgery and recovery has been an absolute breeze compared to prior shoulder surgery. My experience with Dr. Haroun was fantastic.

With 2 bulging discs and 1 herniated disc I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Haroun and his staff were very thorough with their evaluation to make sure that the treatment fit the problem. He did not jump right into surgery. He not only referred to another doctor, he called the doctor himself to get him to see me that afternoon. More than expected.

I've been having back issues since 2011 and primary care physician referred me to this practice. Dr Haroun is brilliant surgeon and fantastic person. Not only did he thoroughly explain the entire process multiple times for my comfort, he also corrected my issue. This was my first surgery of any kind so I was extremely apprehensive. It didn't help that everyone I spoke to gave me horror story and tried to convince me to get anything done. I'm so glad I didn't listen because I'm completely pain free and after almost 3 month I'm completely restored to what I was 10 years ago.

The very first doctor I saw for my back injury 15 months ago indicated surgery may be necessary at some point. I remember laughing out loud and thinking no way that is ever going to happen. Well all these months later after trying all the recommendations including steroids, physical therapy, multiple injections manual physical therapy, yoga, chiropractic care, you name it, I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Haroun. Surgically you will not find anyone more skilled. Then add his wonderful personality and availability to his patients and you will not find a better combination. If you work with Dr. Haroun and Megan there is no reason to be afraid of back surgery. Get your life back, I am so happy that I did.
