So I ordered 25 EE chicks. 25 was their minimum order - or I never would have ordered so many at once. When they arrived I vaguely counted them because, logically, they would give me AT LEAST 25, and most reputable hatcheries will include an extra chick in the event one dies. I counted 24, figured I'd missed one, and was just disappointed there wasn't an extra \just in case\ chick. A week later I separated some to a new home (again, did not need 25) and positively got a count of 24. So the hatchery not only failed to give me the full 25, but the 25 was *their* requirement for minimum order. I'd only found fair reviews online so I never expected they would essentially rob me of an entire chick. They refuse to refund me the cost of the chick plus the vaccine I paid for, for the chick I did not receive. This was a pretty disappointing venture into online hatcheries. I will not purchase from them again.

The Cornish Cross I ordered were amazing. They arrived alive and healthy, and at 9.5 weeks, dressed out at an average of 8.4 pounds.

I got my first order of chicks on May 13th. This is my third time ordering hatchery chicks, first time from Welp. They are the best chicks I've gotten yet. They arrived on time, in excellent health. A week layer they are all still bright, alert, healthy, and quiet. No pasting issues, eating and drinking like champs. Will definitely be ordering from them again next year.

The only hatchery we will order our layers from. In 4 years we have only had 1 batch that had dead ones (due to weather),which they promptly replaced,otherwise they have always been beautiful,lively,healthy chicks. Highly recommend welp hatchery

We have ordered Cornish-Rock chicks from Welp 3 years running, for the kids' 4-H project. The first year, our son took Reserve Champion in the meat chicken competition. The second year, our two boys won 4 of the top 5 spots overall with their entries, including one pen of roasters taking Reserve House Champion in the entire poultry competition. This will be our third year entering Welp stock into the county fair and we are excited for another successful year. We recommend Welp to anyone!
