Food was awesome. Service was good overall. Nice stop walking distance from Pacific Beach.

So many great choices here! I got the soup and sammie and even though it was just a grilled cheese with tomato soup it was amazing especially on a colder night! My husband got the swordfish sandwich and said the spicy coleslaw on it was amazing. They have a couple TVs outside so it was nice to be able to watch March Madness while we ate and the heaters kept us warm. We would definitely come back!
Super fast service, really good, old school music playing, and a really chill atmosphere. We sat by the window and they have a lot of space heaters everywhere. They also have a cool beach-themes banner backdrop with some cool props that can take pictures in front of, which is always a good time. We didn’t have dinner here, but the drinks were good. The vibe is a chill, more fun spot. Not dressing up for anything fancy here
Good food, unique menu & pleasant service. Great place to eat then walk the beach
One of few places you can sit down and eat your food. Meat pies and steak was very good.
The bartender with the Mullet is freaking awesome and honestly the only redeeming quality of my visit. The four women who seem to be related and stated it was a family owned business were very unfriendly. Having previously worked in the service industry for over a decade I can say from first hand experience how far being friendly and personable goes in this industry. Especially when there’s so much immediate competition near you. The women however only seemed to be friendly with themselves talking and laughing amongst each other however when I inquired about where the name for the business came from or why the “wake and bake” slogan they were all very short and unfriendly with very obviously unfriendly facial expressions. With duck dive and thrusters within 50 ft of this business I can honestly say I’ll never come back and rather visit a place like duck dive or thrusters where people are welcoming and friendly. Kudos to the guy bartender with the mullet he was awesome.
One of my favorites for pacific beach and the only place I'll go here for a burger!! The burgers here are among the best I have found in San Diego, they usually get them rare the way I like them, and the fries are tasty If they had organic buns and ketchup they would get a five star for me. Great for people watching (Although I like the Dundin in north park a bit more because I prefer the ambiance and it's a bit quieter)
Ordered a medium rare hamburger and got a well done, service was awful they took over 30 minutes to even start to ask us what to drink? If you are known for hamburgers you should not have an issue if I want medium rare hamburger so if you want to change my mind please help me out.
