Active volunteer since 2014. Helen and Steve are kind, considerate and value all their volunteers. The animals are well cared for and a joy to visit with after chores are done on workdays.

This sanctuary is run by the kindest folks who take really excellent care of their animals. They live on the premises, so if you'd like to visit/volunteer you need to contact them or go on one of their scheduled work days.

Absolutely wonderful people. I volunteer regularly at their work days with vegan potluck dinners and it's always a fulfilling day with great people. They can spend hours telling you the stories of how all the animals got there (and none of them are purchased from breeders - not sure what Kelsie P is talking about). Their goats and pigs are the friendliest, the horse Cisco is pretty friendly too. Due to some of the circumstances that they rescue animals from, some of them are not so trusting of humans so the cows, donkey, chickens, and most of the sheep will avoid you. The vegan potluck dinners after volunteer days are perfect. Very rewarding experience all around.
