Dr. Simmons was my primary doctor for several years. He has a great and friendly manner and for the most part I have been pleased and satisfied. However, when I scheduled my last blood work, I specifically requested blood drawn for PSA'S. When I was called to the back to have blood drawn I asked the nurse about blood for the PSA and she indicated that she didn't show that. However, she did draw more blood for that reason. Later I received a call from their office and had the report for my blood work and just said \ Looks pretty good just continue doing what you're doing\ I had to go to the office and sign to get a copy. No advice on how or what to raise or lower, eat or not eat, drink or not drink. No one available to tell me what to look for. I still have the print out and do not see anything about PSA'S. I am terribly sorry about that incident because I really like everyone there but someone definitely dropped the ball on this one.

Where to begin - I've been to this place a bunch of times ever since I moved here, after 'trying out' several doctors/places around town. I've decided to stick with Dr. Donald Simmons because I liked his style of explaining everything (I'm always hungry for information and details), which beats just getting a nod and send away for tests done without explanation which I've experienced before, at the same place, with a doctor which I won't name out of politeness. I also liked that he isn't afraid to adjust his diagnosis if you give him suggestions or add some information during your visit. This is very important to me, because it shows he's not a stubborn doctor and flexible. It shows character. But enough about the doctor - this place is more than just one doctor and I've had some bad experiences there too. The most issues I've had was with calling in, as they tend to be horrible about calling back and also being polite. When sick you want to feel like you're cared for - instead you get a feeling you're more of an annoyance than a valued patient. In the past years back I had real bad experiences with this while being very sick and it was horrible as I was not taken seriously and treated like I was an idiot. Just remember: it's still a business, they are out to make money. Wait times can be medium to long as expected from doctors offices. They do X-rays and take blood as well if needed. However to end on a positive note, there's friendly people there too. I'd say give it a try if your insurance covers it.

I have had good experiences when I go there. The lab people do an awesome job. I really appreciate my Dr. Dr. Simmons. The nurses are very nice, have not any bad experiences.

I've been going to Primary Care for nearly 10 years. In that time I've seen 4 of the 7 physicians currently on staff. They are rarely behind schedule and consistently take time to listen to me and answer all my questions. It's also really convenient that they have a lab and x-ray on site. Really great doctors and facility. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new doctor.
