Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment we called to book our trip to the very end of our adventure! He made sure that every member of our group felt comfortable and safe. We got to meet every dog one at one at a time to get well acquainted with them and all were incredibly friendly, playful, and of course, adorable! We had apprehensions at the beginning but Mark educated us on proper techniques dealing with the sleds environment and of course how to handle the pack! Once we got on the trail all of our worries melted and we had an amazing time going through Montana’s beautiful landscape. Mark helped guide us through the whole experience and even offered us hot chocolate and a break to play with the dogs. This was truly a magical experience and recommend anyone traveling to or staying in Bigfork to experience this wonderful experience!

We knew we wanted to have a \water\ day in Montana during our visit but we had no idea what to do. Once we found Base Camp Bigfork, LLC, we gave them a call and asked for suggestions. We ended up renting 2 kayaks and 2 SUP boards and headed to the Swan River. It was amazing! The water was perfect and the 4 hours we spent paddling around was beautiful. But even more important than the obvious Montana beauty, was the wonderful care that we received from Base Camp. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They understood our needs and far exceeded them. I will be telling ALL my friends to visit Base Camp when they are in the Flathead Valley because I know they cannot go wrong. And, I hope to return in the winter for an adventurous dog sled tour!
I've known Mark, the owner for just a shade under twenty years, and he does everything above and beyond. With his wife Samantha, they've taken this even further. The guest lodge is absolutely beautiful, simple, refined. The views are amazing, access is second to none, and you can even book guided adventures with these guys. You need to add this to your bucket list, and you should stay here whenever you can.
Mark and his staff was so helpful. We called ahead of time with interest of going kayaking and when we showed up, everything had already been loaded up for us. They dropped us off at Swan Lake and we did a 2 hour kayak trip that was absolutely amazing. I'd highly recommend them for anyone who wants to experience the outdoors.
Fantastic experience renting bikes and kayaks. Excellent service, brought them all to our house and picked up. Helped with fishing recommendations and Glacier adventure. Best shop around!
