We purchased a home in 2001. In 2015 we noticed the vinyl clad on the outside of the windows is cracking. Anderson windows did a patch repair. now 5 years later the same thing is happening. I called Anderson Windows customer service and they did not help in any way just stating that this is not covered for any warranty. After researching we found that this is a common failure in their windows. They have stopped producing the patch they used 5 years ago. We have to pay to have our windows repaired. This is a known problem and they are ignoring it. This is not how you treat customers that invest in homes. I will never use another Anderson product as they do not stand behind them. Built in the North and fail in the North. After 2 calls and a submitted request to have Andersen help pay for the repairs of a KNOWN issue, they denied the simple request. We personally had to pay for a issue that Andersen and the repair company admits. I will NEVER use another Andersen window or door. No Dedication-to the customer.

They ask to many personal questions. I understand they have a script, the script should be redone. It sucks. I have been in sales. The company asks questions that are irrelevant to the sale. It is boring violating privacy. I would not be writing this review if someone in their corporate offices had answered the phone. If you asked if I am the homeowner and I say I am the homeowner. It is redundant to ask if there are other homeowners. This is where you should say we will need you and your spouse or other partners to be present for initial consult. Do not continue to ask more in that line of questioning. It begins to feel like an interrogation. Make it some what fun. Don't make it like the Spanish inquisition.

Easily the worst part of our brand new home. They leak air terribly through the jams and condensate at the frames. They are also covered in \ooze out\ which is when the sealing agent seeps past the frames. Upon install, several sashes needed replaced from poor construction and the felts coming loose on the sides. That was a year ago. Since then, they have ordered the wrong replacements (which they serial number so that doesn't happen) two total times. Still not replaced. Their reps fall off the face of the planet for months at a time, until we get a Cold day, and the cold air seepage reminds me to call them back. To combat the air leaking they sent me some \lock shims\ which I had to double stack, and install myself. This makes many of the windows too tight to lock, so you then remove a shim, and accept a still loose and leaky window. These are junk. By far the worst part of our home. I have flipped houses and bought the cheapest replacement windows I could find, and ALL of those were of better quality than these Andersen's in our 450,000 home. Do yourself a favor and call pella or someone else. For the people saying \give them a chance\ and \work with them\ on their reviews.. It's been almost 2 years since we reported issues. ***update 9 months after initial review and three years since purchasing windows. Continue to get ignored/blown off by the company. Its back to winter in Ohio and our rooms with multiple windows are freezing. Can literally feel cold air bleeding in the frames. Still junk. Still no resolution.
