I missed the part in the brochure that there was no electricity. Did not see it anywhere on the brochure. When it said lantern available I assumed to see when heading to the outhouse etc. after arriving at our cabin MC I was going to plug in my husband’s breathing machine and realized then NO ELECTRICITY. Then the bed was 5 ft off the floor and need to use the ladder to get on the bed. Well husband is disabled with back issues and I had recent knee replacement and there was NO WAY we were getting in that bed. The reservations were only made a few days ago and when we called to cancel they refused to give us our money back due to health reasons not allowing us to stay in the cabin. So we lost 300 for a 2 night stay we had to cancel.

The outfitter is definitely run by a caring set of individuals who have been in this business for a good amount of years. We used this outfitter to do a hiking trip through Isle Royale. If you do not own any equipment and do not want to purchase this is probably a good way to go. The downside to this is you should know that the equipment for the hiking side is not terribly modern. We had lots of questions from other hikers on why we were using large external frame packs. I also highly suggest going over how to use the packs with the outfitter and making sure everything on your list is in the kits. We did not review how to use their packs ahead of the trip and it made for a harder first day of hiking then we had planned.

Glad they have their Trump signs out on display so that I can never support this business and its shoddy ideals ever again \u003c3 Plus, terrible service anyway. Not a big loss

I drove out here and the guy got the shop locked down during regular business hrs. When I call him he flat out told me he’s busy and cant help me. Why even say you’re open? Stop wasting peoples time..

If you're looking for a quiet get away and go back in time with no running water, no electricity, away from people, than this is your place!! Easy access to Superior hiking trail, boundary Waters canoe area. Or just to sit around a camp fire. We stayed for 5 days in the PJ cabin and loved it. We'll be back!!
