Good for kids
Great hike, but if you are backpacking beware of thiefs. My friends and I all had our cars broken into and thousands of dollars of gear was stolen. Many others have had the same thing happen. Just look at the glass laying around in the parking lot. It's a shame, but I would never backpack here again.

This is a LONG hike and there are no services (water, toilet, or cellular), so be sure you have everything you need. Follow the directions given by the US Forest Service to find the trailhead. *Note: The sign is NOT the trail. Follow the signs for the Ozark Trail from the parking lot. This is not a crowded trail. We loved the solitude. This trail is not for everyone. I would not recommend it for new hikers or for small children learning to hike. Of course, you know your ability better than anyone. The place is clean and peaceful, however this weekend the river was dry so not fishing, so make sure you have plenty water with you. For the record when we came back to my car in the parking spot I got robbed, one of my windows was broken. So be careful with your belongings or wherever is left in the car. Nearest police station 20-30 minutes away. They never answered the phone for the report. \u200d️ Not coming back to this place.
Liked the views from the top. So clean, peaceful, refreshing experience. Started from the \Bell Mountain N trailhead\ and it is around 12 mies round trip, moderate terrain conditions. Loved it.
the best park my favorite trail is the bell mountain loop trail i can see far away views of the taum sauk resavour and i love coming here i useally camp at the shut'ans then hike here insted of taum sauk this place is the bess place to hike a mountain in the arcadia valley range
