Is it a true 5 star bar? To be completely honest, no. But it serves its purpose as a perfect dive bar spot if you want cheap drinks and a good time. The drinks were strong and the bartenders were very nice. We didn't try the food but it looked like they serve all the typical \bar foods\. With our goal of just getting drunk, Spike's was perfect. We will definitely be back!

I decided to try this place out since my friend worked there. Good food. The party doesn't start until later in the evening. Locals bring a lively scene.
We loved our unexpected lunch at Spike's. We took the scenic route from Scott AFB to Saint Louis and came across Spike's. A gem! The bartender was our server and she was attentive. When we arrived, local First Responders were enjoying their lunch...always a good sign of a great place. Place stayed busy during our leisurely lunch...another good sign. We ordered the Pork Tacos and Mushroom Swiss Burger, both devoured completely.
Spike's getting ready to move into Millstadt so we thought we what head over to the Belleville location to see if it was any good. Honestly, it was just okay. My dad got a burger with fries and it was overcooked and dry. I got the fish platter with slaw and hush puppies. The slaw was really super sour. Although I prefer a creamy slaw over a vinegar slaw anyways, this was still too sour to tolerate and sadly my hush puppies were over cooked. I'd be willing to try it again once it's moved into town but so far I'm not super impressed.
Food wasn't as good as it used to be calazone was not very big and the mushroom had pieces of other fried stuff in it very disappointed for 38 dollars could have gotten a steak for that
