Jeremiah Ray has spent his career representing clients in a variety of cases throughout Ohio. After graduating from Cleveland State University in 2001, he worked as an Assistant Prosecutor in Erie County Ohio for a year and then moved to private practice on his own until May of 2008 when he joined with Andrew Mayle and Ronald Mayle in the law firm Mayle, Ray & Mayle in Fremont. In December of 2016, the main office in Fremont burned down and the firm operated from it’s branch location in Bellevue until September 2017 when Jeremiah decided it was time for something different. During his time in private practice, Jeremiah primarily handled personal injury/wrongful death cases, felony and misdemeanor defense, divorce and custody cases. He also acted as a special prosecutor to several municipalities. As a litigator, Jeremiah has tried many cases to verdict in many different courts and has broad experience in in jury and bench trials. Outside the courtroom, Jeremiah has been recognized for his contribution to the community including being a former trustee of the Bellevue United Selective Fund for many years and a former Bellevue Recreation Board member. Both of which were voluntary positions. Jeremiah’s dedication to his community is also demonstrated as a volunteer coach in multiple sports involving youth athletics. Jeremiah is always the first to volunteer his time and knowledge on helping to raise funds for programs and charitable causes. Jeremiah lives in Bellevue with his wife Melanie and their three children, Tyler, Joel and Amelia. Jeremiah is a fair, organized and accomplished lawyer. He will take his many years of private sector experience and apply it as a judge. He will issue timely decisions, will follow the law and treat all with the respect they deserve.
