We went to Seaview Boatyard to have our bottom paint and zincs done. We keep our boat in Anacortes but Seaview's price was worth the trip to Bellingham. Turned out we had to have our port transmission repaired too; they got a mechanic on it and got us back in the water. Good service, timely and best price. Overall a great value. I plan to go here again for my service needs and recommend them to other boaters.

For over 10 years I planned to bring my boat north and then do the trip to Alaska. Prior to this trip, I spent significant time looking for a yard for a refit on my 20 year old boat (that I bought new in Maine). I do a lot of wood work and have build several boats so I was very \picky\ when it came to a yard to work with. I talked with yards from Tacoma to Vancouver and ended up with Seaview North. I was extremely nervous as I've used many boatyards in my 40 years of boating, but this place is the best yard I've ever worked with (recall... I'm picky). I'm also frugal given I do a lot of work myself given my prior boat building projects and their prices were (in my mind) more than fair. Plus, the quality was outstanding. Work included complete exterior (hull and topsides) repaint, plus added cabinets (matched to Maine woodwork quality) and finish up multiple mechanical projects (finish installing my diesel heater, Cummins engine work, etc.).. Unfortunately, like any project, we discovered a large amount of water damage intrusion, so they addressed that as well (not easy, as had to remove lots of teak trim to access and then replace). BUT.... what makes a great shop is how they respond when something goes wrong. We had a mis-communication on the hull paint and the boot strap was painted wrong. They responded in the most professional way and that is the sign of a great company. I live in Calyfornia and loved my trip to Alaska this summer. I'll be back in 3 years for another \Bellingham boat spa treatment\ as it's worth the trucking price for me to come here. Hats off to Aaron (yard manager) and Tiel (owner) AND all the real workers that do the work!. I can't be a bigger fan of this operation.
These guys are amazing! First was my final bill was lower than I was quoted. The office staff is very helpful and so are the guys working in the yard. Polite, clean, professional, and knowledgable. They helped whenever I asked on the projects I was doing on my own. I highly recommend this company!
Started using these guys last year. Put my boat in their care. Have found out their service is not just horrible, its non-existent. There must be severe problems within the company.
My review is based on my experience with mostly DIY boat work at this yard with some assistance from the experts at Seaview. They were very accommodating with our scheduled haulout time as we had some bad weather do deal with both arriving and departing. The manager was knowledgeable and easy to work with. He provided estimates of all the work I needed done and gave us advice and options to do as much work as we could to save some money. We had some structural fiberglass work done. They gave me instruction on how to do all of the prep work properly so they could do their work as quickly as possible. Their fiberglass expert was great to work with and allowed me to help. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied with the work done. They have a well stocked parts department as well. You may find slightly better pricing on parts at other stores if you shop around but it was worth the convenience and advice to buy supplies there. We felt like the pricing was very fair. We will certainly go back next time we need to haul out.
