It's about time to vote, so I decided to start looking into things. A little late, but I was more focused on Federal, than State Elections. While looking I came across the Bellingham Herald. Just poorly written. I'll give an example. One I read kept mentioning an individual who was not running for office, or the author of the piece. It didn't say they interviewed this person, their name was mentioned earlier in a list of other names. Every paragraph that came after started with that person saying something. It was clearly an interview. Did it say it was an interview? No. Did they interview anyone else about the subject? No. About 9 paragraphs later and it finally gets into stuff about the actual candidates. Maybe just tell me about the candidates? We want to know these things. Maybe stop hiding information behind a bunch of BS that belongs in its own article? You're supposed to be providing us with enough information to form our own opinion, and cast an educated vote. We don't need fluff, we don't need personal bias, we don't need thee BS. Yeah this is a small outlet, but it is an example of why the US is where it is. Too many media outlets telling you what you should think, or who to vote for instead of just giving you the information.

So disappointed! We had a subscription for years! It’s so obvious it’s one sided & not reporting with fair & unbiased political opinion of the reporter/writer.

The case of Bruce D Vanderwoude has been excluded from updates for over a year now. I have sent 2 or 3 emails asking about the case and why nothing has been updated yet. I have also called the prosecuting attorney about the case and they told me that they would keep me updated which they have not. I also asked them why he is still in county and why he gas not been sentenced yet and they told me,\ His case is complicated.\ He has been in whatcom county jail for over a year now and I want to know why. Bellingham herald is not updating all there stories they post or print and need to do so for its people.

I'm actually going to review Cosmos Bistro in the Bellingham Herald Centre. A very appealing friendly space. The food selections are interesting with new twists on old themes.I had a salad Nicoise modernized,very good and filling. An all American favorite Meatloaf sandwich is a winner too. Honestly I don't think you can go too wrong with this place. The food is fresh,high quality and well thought out, with great attention to details. The staff is friendly and gracious, with an honest willingness to please their guests. Check it out...
