The W.O.L.F. Sanctuary is a great rescue that takes phenomenal care of the wolves and wolf dogs they provide a permanent home to. Volunteers are always welcome and it's a unique experience to get personal contact with a Wolf!!!
It's a wonderful place for the wolves. To have their second chance in a new life. A better life. To play. Eat. Sleep. The volunteers here are angels.
Former volunteer here. Everyone I’ve known, both staff and volunteers alike, quit the job seeing where this place was headed- toward animal exploitation and photo ops just like Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center. The owner, Shelley, is a narcissist who doesn’t appreciate her volunteers even remotely. The wolves don’t even like her. Also, most of these “wolves” are low-content Wolf-dogs who could easily be rehomed and a handful are even simply dogs but the staff here are too ignorant to know better. They actually sue a white German Shepard for “educational” (aka money making) meet and greets and tell people he is a wolfdog. So ignorant and dangerous. Goes against everything they claim to stand for. Do not support. Already corrupt before they’ve started.
