The most and largest buildings still standing and together on Angel Island. Building include barracks, hospital, administration, chapel, mess hall and more. Some buildings are accessible on the first floor like the hospital and others are completely boarded up. Some have been maintained and some have slowly decaded over the many years. Well worth the hike to see if on the island.

Came in here on a brutally hot July day. The restaurant being air conditioned was great. I tried the limited time Aussie Egg Burger which is basically a burger with an Egg McMuffin egg on it. It was actually quite good. The service was nice and fast. Overall it was a good experience at a McDonald's.

Very interesting history here. Tours are beneficial to get the full experience & history of the island. The artifacts on display are fascinating to see. You can really get a sense of what it was like to stay here during the early 1900's. You can explore and go at your own pace throughout.

one of the best kept secrets on the island. The buildings that remain today are over 100years old. If you are lucky to be on there on the right weekend the historic Guard House is open for tours. They have a great history of the US Army on Angel Island.

Great area for exploring! I have been coming here since the early 80's and i always find something new. I could spend days here with my camera!
