New Leaf Academy changed our daughter's life . It gave us back our family and it saved our marriage. There isn't a day that goes by where we don't reflect and thank New Leaf Academy for all that is has brought into our life. This program works. It's been over 2 years since our daughter graduated from the program and she is thriving. It is a joy to witness. She knows that her success today is because of the support she received from New Leaf Academy. Finding New Leaf Academy was the best thing that has ever happened to our family.
To say New Life saved our family is not an understatement, and looking back it was one of the toughest parenting decisions we have ever made, and it is one of the best decisions we will ever make. With no place to turn after our daughter was asked to leave 3 schools by grade 5, and our entire family in chaos, New Leaf saved us. I can't imagine where we would be without it. An extremely challenging 18-month program, the experience for our family was life changing. Most importantly our daughter is thriving, and to be honest unrecognizable from the day she started at New Leaf. New Leaf provided the structure, support, therapy and tools we had no access to, and to be honest didn't know existed. I'm so thankful my wife found New Leaf, as it's the biggest reason we are where we are today.
Our young daughter experienced so much success during her time at New Leaf that we can hardly tell she has RAD at all anymore. When she was 7, we came to the painful conclusion that residential therapeutic care was the only way forward for our family. Our daughter had two placements before New Leaf, so we have some experience with different types of programs targeting children whose struggles are so insurmountable that they cannot be at home. New Leaf's programming and approach is truly superior and yields much better results. When our daughter left, we were nervous and immensely grateful to have access to NLA's aftercare program, which we took advantage of for a year. Our daughter has been home for almost two years now. She is an absolute pleasure 99% of the time, despite being a teenager! She still misses her people at New Leaf, and this past summer paid a visit. It's clear she harbors fine memories. Thank you again, for the gift of our daughter.
