This therapy center provides an excellent service for connecting people with the right fit for mental health support. The center has a super quick turnaround time, and works with each client to really clarify and meet their needs in a practitioner. If one match doesn’t feel right, they will go out of their way to see what else is possible. In a sea of practitioners and modalities, it’s easy to get confused and discouraged on the way to starting a new therapy or coaching process. The center adds a personal touch to streamlining the search by connecting folks to vetted and highly skilled clinicians, often with special training in couples and sex therapy.

There are few places to go for non-judgmental, shame-free help with one’s sexual life. North Berkeley Couples Therapy Center is one of these safe spaces. Their sex therapists assist people with the challenges and relationship issues that prevent them from fully experiencing their sexuality wholly and holistically. Many sexual issues can be resolved through a reflective process or by developing skills with professional guidance. The therapists and coaches assist people in peeling away myths and preconceptions about sex and relationships, help them let go of unrealistic expectations, shame and unhealthy emotional and sexual patterns, create the sexual life and relationships they want, and reconnect with their sexual self. My partner and I recently attended Dr. Nelsen's intimacy building couples workshop over Valentines Day Weekend. I cannot recommend it highly enough! It was a fun class that felt completely comfortable and safe. We were able to work individually as a couple which helped me feel more at ease than sharing in a group setting. We learned lots about our love languages, had fun hands on exercises and left feeling excited to implement our new learned ways of connecting.
