This company is a disgrace to the community. Overpriced and horrible customer service. My husband and I were on the hunt to buy seasoned firewood. We did a bit of research and called around a few places. We decided we wanted to shop local and use a reputable company, so we ended up going with Gillis. We spoke to the receptionist who assured us that we would be getting seasoned wood. They charge 25-50 dollars more than everywhere we called and had a delivery charge of 30. Even having to pay a bit more we still decided to purchase wood from them. Delivery day came and we were unfortunately delivered green wood. Not a single piece was seasoned or even semi seasoned. When we called to discuss our options we were told they would send us a 30 gift card for our inconvenience. The owner of the company said they’ve never sold seasoned wood and had the nerve to tell us we were lying and that no one told us they had seasoned wood. We would have never made this purchase had we known that the wood would be unusable. Not to mention that green wood should be half the price. Times are tough right now and as a family of five this is not something that we thought we would have to deal with. We are shocked that a small family owned business in town would hurt people in this way.

Excellent friendly service onsite. Good variety of plants, trees and veggies/ herbs with reasonable prices and good discounts. Always find something to take home.

Always great service. Had a patio and fire pit project done by them, along with some landscaping. Also get much and firewood delivered.
Nice local garden center. Great selection of shrubs & trees. Beautiful garden ornaments, bird baths, pots - none of the tacky stuff you see at big box stores. Organic fertilizer. Lots of nice perennials. Good selection of annuals - sometimes they are a bit leggy & overgrown and occasionally find bugs, but if you're choosy you can always find healthy plants. The one time I returned with a buggy plant was no hassle. I easily selected a healthy replacement.
