Awesome food here! The stuffed cabbage rolls are my absolute favorite... I get them every time we come to Chef George's. Tonight my son ordered the Hungarian goulash and it was amazing! Their salad is fantastic as well. Always a superb meal at this wonderful hidden gem.

Very tasty food. Amazingly courteous staff. Decently priced for their summer specials; ordinary prices are a tad high, but just look at the amount of food! Two meals for sure.

Chef George's is a desert gem. The Greek salad is simply the best... Crisp, chilled bite size lettuce, cucumber & kalamata olives tossed with the best dressing. The paella was more than enough for 2 with big pieces of fresh fish, sausage, shrimp and mussels. And don't forget a piece of Lana's house made apple strudel. You won't be disappointed.

We each (4) had a different dinner and all were superb. Have been going there for 18 years and never had a bad meal.

Choice of dining room, bar or patio dining. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Serving sizes are generous.

Saved by the 3-course special and the chicken livers. Don't really think it's worth it to get any of the a la carte dishes, as it is quite expensive and not really great. The pork loin was on the dry side of things and was only palatable with the sauce. Same goes for the beef goulash as the beef was very dry and kinda tough - obviously low quality beef with no marbling whatsoever. I get that it's a stew, but when you're paying 25 for the dish... The Italian style chicken livers were fantastic and packed with flavor, and better yet, part of the 3 course special. The salad with the special was nicely balanced with acidity and richness. The dessert that came with the special ended up being the strudel, which was quite different compared to many others I've had before. The apples were so caramelized that they had lost all structure and apple-y taste. Not my thing, but others might like it. There's also live performance every night, so if that's your thing then that's some extra added value.

LOVE! Portions are ample and hearty. Love the falafel wrap and raw kale and brussels sprouts salad. I'm not a pastry eater but my co workers say this is the BEST FRENCH PASTRY in town. Atmosphere is very pleasant and soothing, service is very good. If possible would take half star off because prices are a slightly high but you get what you pay for.

They took our order on Christmas Eve, 5 min before they close. They were super courteous, and both the Chicken Marsala and the Parmigiana were delicious! We also loved the portion! Will be back whenever in Palm Desert!
