I had the misfortune of purchasing a home in which MJ Snyder was the primary contractor. Every corner was cut in the enovation\ of the home. Many items listed in the buyer's agreement were faked for the walk-through. Mr. Snyder used the cheapest materials possible and the poorest craftsmanship in his attempted 'flip' of the house. Roof was simply nailed over old shingles. Most of the work was barely up to code. Currently have no heat this winter because Mr. Snyder did not address any of the issues with the furnace that are now costing me a fortune. If he runs his business the way he 'renovates' homes, I would strongly advise against working with him.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! MJ Snyder Electric supplied the electric services for a 36,000 addition to my home in Mertztown. Unfortunately the work did not pass inspection, first because they did not install the electrical ground wire properly, then because of several other issues that did not meet the building code. The addition to my home, which included a master bedroom and closet, required an additional power panel, according to MJ Snyder Electric, but they installed it inside my master bedroom closet. I did not know that this did not meet PA code, because the general contractor, Home Artisan Group, put in his original contract that the new power panel would be installed inside the closet - so I thought that it was allowed in PA. These two companies are refusing to correct this problem, so 5 YEARS OF LEGAL NEGOTIATIONS LATER I still cannot get an occupancy permit for my home because they refuse to correct their mistake. They have indicated that if I take them to court that they will lie and say that I insisted that they install my electrical service without following the building codes. The cost of changing this is over 4,000 - which I have already paid for once under the contract and then again when I paid several thousand dollars of legal fees over the years! This company is simply not ethical.
