this purchase was done completely over the internet, having never seen the product. i don't live in the same state as the company, but their website seemed promising, with LOTS of options. i needed an interior door that was half glass for a study. apparently these types of doors are about as rare as unicorns, but i managed to find sun mountain after doing a google search. there was a 6 week processing time from the time i ordered and a three day shipping time. the door was packaged extremely well and shipped via fedex freight. it arrived with no damage and was exactly what i was picturing in my head. i picked a knotty walnut with a clear finish. the glass in the pic looks cloudy, but it still has the protective film on it. i ordered regular clear glass. highly recommend this company if you are looking for a unique door. we love it!

Our rep Ryan is very hands-on and helpful through the entire process (from initial bid to delivery). Our clients like that they have a huge variety of doors and finishes to choose from. We recently had 500 ft of trim and 21 interior doors custom-sized and glazed for a home on Peak 8 in Breckenridge. Every door was sized exactly as ordered and the finish was not only uniform across the board, but a perfect match to the existing window trim throughout the home. We will continue to recommend Sun Mountain to all our clients!
Their doors are particle board with a wood veneer. They mislead their customers into believing they are getting a solid wood door. If you ask them about this they will tell you the particle board makes a better door, but that is a lie. They use particle board because it saves them a bunch of money. Over time the particle board absorbs moisture causing it to swell and the veneer delaminates.
