I noticed all the reviews are rather old and make note of a NO PHONES policy that I have never seen, matter of fact last time I was in there I showed Joe some pictures on my phone. If your looking for an Apple store that sells several thousand dollar race bikes, this is not the place for you. If you want anything vintage, schwinn, used parts, and or NOS parts, then this is where you need to go. Even if you just need your older bike back up and running this is a great place, high end shops only want to replace parts or not even touch some bikes, but Joe will rebuild, repair, and if needed replace any and all parts on your ride. I've never had issues finding parts here, I'll say I need a rare part for a British chopper from 1970, and he'll say which color?

To anyone looking to go to Best Bicycles, it is currently closed. Joe (Owner) has passed away leaving his shop to his family. It is currently being cleaned up in the hopes of opening in the future.
The store is an OCD person's nightmare, but the older gentleman was very informative and helpful. He was able to fix my Trek and had me riding in 15 mins. Great find, especially on a Sat when most of the other local stores are closed. Thank you!
Caught this shop out of the corner of my eye when leaving out of chattanooga. Had to stop when i saw the Old Schwinns outside. I've rode bikes since i was five, road for miles as a older kid, raced as a teenager, road racing state champion of tenn when I was 17. now i'm a 34 year old enthusiast in the mountain. Texting drove me off the road bike. Cycling was always accessible to me, and the bikes basically affordable with hard work. I found these days the cycling industry and shops associated with it are elitist and out of touch. I can talk my talk and they are just a bunch of gear heads who don't listen. JOE of the Best bike shop listens and is a man who is passed by ,by time. Don't discount him,, especially since he was involved with the Schwinn Shop of chattanooga i believe since the late 50's. He has gobs and gobs of pieces a parts and used bikes and stuff and tires and pedals and all kinds of stuff. He's still in love with this world that has passed him by. He can fix a bike like no body's business.
One of the first places to shop for a new or used bicycle.
