Buyer beware: too many recurring appointments, and not enough problem solving. Seems like the primary goal is more appointments, especially when Lindsey suggests talking to another therapist “on staff” that can help “with this specific issue.” Reading a book is more helpful.

There's something quite special about Lindsey Hoskins & Associates. Their passion for helping couples work through some of the most difficult relationship challenges is apparent from the first session. Shy Porter, specifically, showcases everything you could dream of in a therapist. In a genuine and authentic manner, she makes you feel seen, heard, and validated in your relationship while she works diligently to guide you and your partner toward genuine freedom of expression. Shy also does fantastic work with individuals, bringing the same openness and genuine care and concern to the therapeutic process. I have no qualms about saying that this is one of the best therapy practices in the area.

Put simply, I don't think my husband and I would still be married and have the quality, loving and understanding relationship that we do now if it hadn't been for Lindsey. When we first saw her she was our last hope. After having tried four other marriage therapists we were both seriously considering divorce. She doesn't take sides and doesn't put up with any *#@ excuses either. The sessions are a bit expensive but saving our marriage was worth it, and the skills we're learning will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Hoskins & Associates is an excellent group of people, they're great to work with and also just very enjoyable, relate-able individuals. I've mostly dealt with Dr. Hoskins, who is empathetic, very bright, has impeccable education/credentials, and a lot of experience. I've also met several of the other counselors and they've also struck me as smart, kind, and warm. As for the actual location, the office is a very inviting and relaxing place, the neighborhood is nice, metro-convenient, and (if you're coming at later hours) has lots of dining options and other things to do... highly recommended.

I have worked with Lindsey and her team for almost 2 years now. They are an amazing and professional group. Not only do they instill a sense of confidence and professionalism but they are great people to be around. Very down to earth. Thank you Lindsey Hoskins & Associates for your honesty and attention to detail!

Lindsey and her team are warm, welcoming, and accommodating. From setting up my first consult, to booking ongoing sessions two years later, I've found that (with the help of her empathy, support, and skill building) my sessions only get better and better.
