A lot of uphill hiking for a pretty disappointing view. It’s a valley with some trees. We had a better view from our resort in Big Sur.

An enjoyable, quick hike. Definitely not a stroll by any means but we knocked this hike out in about an hour (and we move pretty leisurely). Very rooty in some areas with steep inclines, however we did see a dad walking with his toddler in a carrier on his back, plus some grandparent grandchildren families. Awesome views and a few benches along the way.
Beautiful out and back hike around 4 miles round trip. Plan a couple of hours for a moderate hike and picnic on top. Well maintained with a bit of rocky part. The view of the valley is pretty good but the hike itself across different landscapes is the best part. Shaded and well maintained.
A bit over 2 miles up 2 miles back to the parking lot via the river walk. Nice views. Well maintained trail. Varied scenery.
