I'm so glad we went to Bike Doktor! John has a great selection of bikes and for a reasonable price. He also helped me load them into my van. What a great experience. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Rented two bikes. Everything worked out nicely. Probably biggest choice of rental bikes in Hanalei. Most of the bikes are a little bit older. No high tech equipment. Also I would not bring an expensive bike for repair there. Bikes are repaired upside down rather than with a proper work stand. Service was ok.
Wasted time driving out there from Poipu. The shop was supposed to open at 10am. No one was there at 10:30am. No one answered the phone. I left a message and got a call back an hour later.
Had a great ride with Johnny and his mates. Awesome trails that they've made themselves. Quite technical, some really nice flowy bits. Can be tricky to find a good time in Kauai as there's so much rain!

I dropped by to rent a mountain bike. The 2 he had were filthy and I assume not well maintained. I tried to talk to the owner about local trails but it was like pulling teeth to get more than a 2 word answer. I ended up going to Kauai Cycle to rent for cheaper and much better.
