In 6 weeks Bike Religion will be serving beer! They had to separate the coffee shop with a lil fence .
It is a rare combination to have a super-knowledgeable, yet friendly staff. These guys know it all, but do not act like it. I rented a bike to ride the awesome Dana Point area--highly recommend using this shop! I will again.
Bike Religion's service crew has been exceedingly helpful on numerous occasions, willing to answer detailed questions and generally friendly. However, most will say this shop's vibe is much more for the cycling enthusiast, and less for the novice. Great coffee too.

The owner Michael Lanzon is a shady business owner. I went into the store with my friend and negotiated a consignment deal to sell our line of bikes. He sold the bike and didn't pay my friend a cent. Has ignored him for over 3 months claiming his business is not doing very well. A terrible way to treat people. Very shady owner and person, avoid this place at all costs.
Went here for the first time today, and boy i felt super comfortable about this place. The staff here was super friendly and made a real effort to understand what my bike needed in terms of tuning and maintenance. Their turn around time for some minor fixes and tuning was close to 90mins, but that was with 2-3 other service orders ahead of mine -- more importantly, i did not have leave the bike overnight. And it is super close to the (UCI) campus, which makes like easy for me in general.
