Got jaggery from here, was terrified to see roaches in the jaggery. Went back to store check other jaggery packs all had roaches in it. Will think twice to go now to this store.

Indian grocery store near UAB. You get amazing Dosa batter here - Madurai Dosa batter. Also, coconut chutney for Dosa. You get all masala, spices, veggies and other necessary groceries. I recommend this store.

I'm giving 1 star for being -criminally overrated ] they are just a glorified convenience store and grocery standby ( i can give 4 stars for that ) that carry a smattering of ethnic labels like Asian, Indian and even traditional African and Caribbean and very convenient for foreign Univ Students living in walking distance maybe but labeling themselves as as an 'Indian Grocery' is way too big a lie to give them anything more than 1.5 star.

You can find almost all Indian grocery here at a higher price but the location is convenient who live near UAB and don't own a car. The shop owners are always nice to you. They also keep frozen fish and meat but be careful before you buy them. I believe those are historic items and close to be declared as fossils. Jokes apart, everything else you can buy from them but not frozen fish/meats.

Great selection of authentic goods, helpful staff. I told the lady what I was making and she basically did the shopping for me. She grabbed a basket and ran around to find all the ingredients I needed to make it, and it was everything I needed and it turned out great. And inexpensive too
