I am trying to apply for a new SSN and it has been the hardest task in the world. I waited the 10 days (covid safety measure) to call them in order to schedule an appointment. My first call was on February 12th and since this day no one called me back yet. I spoke with many agents as possible, and they were very helpful. But still no return. I just don't know what to do anymore. The manager is supposed to call me back within 48h but it has been 2 weeks now and nothing.

I submitted paperwork over a month ago for my name to be changed. Not only has my name not been changed, but I can't get anyone on the phone to even begin to ask questions. Since I can't go in person, I can only rely on a phone call. However, I have called numerous times a day for multiple days over the past few weeks; every time I am placed on hold for over 20 minutes only to have someone eventually pick up the phone and hang up on me. The online help/email is of absolutely no help; their responses are in circles telling me everything about a name change that I don't need to know and then telling me my only option is to call the number that keeps hanging up on me. This business is completely absurd. I feel sorry for the people that depend on checks from this place bc getting in touch with a human and receiving an answer is impossible. I guess I will have to send my paperwork again, but this time through UPS and request a signature and picture of the person that receives it. Unfortunately, that doesn't guarantee that the work will be done after receipt. Smh.

My family and I need to give a special public thank you to Misty Jones. We had to work our way through a unique, stressful situation (in the middle of Covid too!), and getting in touch with Ms. Jones was a tremendous blessing. She consistently went above and beyond in taking care of us and gave us what may be the best customer service we have ever received. Thank you again, Ms. Jones!

With repugnant impunity they have been delaying citizens their much needed documents. I have sent against them a congressional inquiry because they dared to say they will, on purpose, keep staff out so they can delay their processing. I demand my passport returned and my new social security card. The entire corruption of blood they have attempted deserves to be investigated and all leaders terminated.
