I have been shopping in the Black Mountain Yarn Shop since it opened. Don, Donna, and their staff are always so helpful. My wife and I usually visit Black Mountain several times a year and have been unable to since the pandemic began. I ordered yarn, patterns, and needles on Friday and received them the next day. WOW! What service! The yarn was carefully wrapped in plastic in order to protect it. We are eager to get to Black Mountain and to visit the shop. They have an excellent selection of beautiful yarn, patterns, bags, and notions. Their website is kept up to date with pictures of new yarn added often. If you have not visited their shop in Black Mountain, be sure to take a look at their website and order online. You will not be disappointed.

Donna’s shop is one of my happy places. I love not only the amazing selection of beautiful yarn, but the feeling of welcome that is extended to all shoppers. Donna and her staff are knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and a lot of fun to be around. I have really appreciated the care that has been taken to protect shoppers and staff during the Covid pandemic. Shopping by appointment and strict adherence to infection control measures make me feel safe and comfortable while shopping. I also appreciate all that Donna and Don did to get the online shopping up and going in record time this past spring. Being quarantined was a lot more fun having the option of doing online shopping at the Black Mountain Yarn Shop The online store provides the same great selection of yarn and notions. And did I mention bags??!!

If you are looking for a shopping experience that is top notch during these crazy Covid-19 times Black Mountain Yarn Shop is the place. I felt safe and relaxed during my shopping appointment. They are limiting the number of people in the shop by shopping by appointment. These are readily available on the website. When you enter for your appointment you sanitize your hands, and they take your temperature. They are readily available to help, but have taken steps to insure that your shopping experience keeps you safe and at ease! I addition to all this, they continue to have beautiful stock and a abundant supply of notions. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for going that extra mile to ensure the safety of your customers!

Pay no attention to the negative review by Meg. Black Mountain Yarn Shop puts customer safety first. Don and Donna are the most gracious and helpful shop owners you could ever meet. This store used to be crowded every weekend, crowds of a size that would be risky even with masks. Shopping is easily available on line, and appointments are easy to book online as well. Meg would have been well served to have checked the website before driving over.
