Got me 2001 175 EFI few months back and it's one of the strongest 2strokes I've ever had ! The motor is exactly what it was advertised. Fired up first time after installation. Blackbird Industries is first class , paint job on motor was beautiful. Mike was there to answer any questions during installation and also sizing up prop.

I bought a complete R&R'd Mercury 200HP Carbureted outboard from Blackbird and so far the engine runs great. Shipping went smooth, picked up Fedex freight. Had some issues with warning alarms but Mike answered the phone directly and provided troubleshooting information solving the problem. I know that there are bad reviews, but my experience has been good. Outboard motors, or marine power plants are not as simple as working on cars. There seems to be a lot of tribal knowledge. A shout out to Mike and Larry out there for your help at a phone call away!

Purchased two motors from Mike over the years and we are very happy with both. Our 150 mercury is 14 years old and still runs great ! We just purchased our second motor and it looks better than the first motor.
