So much to see . Really great place to escape all the noise of reality. Great to disconnect , and hike down the beautiful trails . If you are into hiking then you need to make the trip . Wether it’s at lake Monroe or one of the vast forestry . And to top it off there are a lot of little gems hiding around . Gems being great places to eat , from the best deep dish pizza you’ve ever had to the best steak you’ve ever had . And if you’re into sports the college has great stadiums with ample seating . Some of the best memories are from tailgating at the college football games .By far the best thing to do is to visit lake Monroe and rent a boat or visit the beach for under 10 and the beach is very clean and you can have your doggos with you . A double decker with a slide is only about 300-400 for 24 hrs, and the life jackets are included ,or you can also rent jet skis for a decent price and not the old beat up jet skis that most rental places give you with the ripped seats and engine that’s to old to run . There’s a cove not far from the rental place called party cove where boats all connect with one another and have a great time the water is deep enough to swim of the boat safely .It’s usually about an hour and a half drive for us but never a complaint when we go . Go check it out !!

Very helpful people. I was lost. They furnished a local, detailed map, even telling me about roads closed for construction. Nice clean restrooms. Small gift shop, with local postcards.
Good info, but the place needs a face-lift!!
Visit Bloomington offers a wonderful introduction to this beautiful area. Staff are welcoming, friendly and, most importantly, knowledgeable. With tons of free brochures for Morgan County and attractions all over Indiana, it’s a hub for travel planning whether you’re local to Bloomington or just visiting the area.
If you're new to Bloomington or coming for a visit, this is a great place to start. Lots of great literature on what to do and where to go. They also have a great gift shop filled with Bloomington and Indiana products. Some made here, others promoting the city and the state (like tshirts, mugs, and key chains). Definitely worth the stop.
Bloomington is such a pleasant place to watch the dozens of small woodland creatures walk in a ritualistic poise around the many flower gardens. The grass turn orange, the men turn blue, the sky is gray. It is easter.
Great recommendations for hikes and dog friendly places from staff. Got a treat and a free dog water bowl. Found a great tshirt as well!
Great place to get info on Bloomington in.
