Beautiful place to come for a weekend getaway this place is run by awesome people they are very nice and accommodating they have a store to buy floats for the water, sunscreen, beer, fishing tackle and more it’s so convenient honestly. Anything you need they have it. Not expensive either. You can get a day pass for very cheap I don’t remember exactly how much it was but it wasn’t over 15 maybe even 10. They do have cabin rentals or you can bring your RV or camper. Will be coming back for sure and hopefully rent a cabin!

We loved it, staff was very helpful. The park was very clean. The kids had a blast. We kayaked on the lake, There was mosquitoes which we expected because we are by the water. We brought bug spray and was fine. We left the campsite as clean as before we got there and would hope that you do too if you go. Check the wind speed if using a pop up tent trailer because it really cranked one night!
I really enjoy being with the owners... Very kind people.
One of the greatest resort for RV camping, Tent, and fishing. We caught a lot of bluegill there.
Nothing fancy and I haven't used the dated cabins in years, though they are quite functional. If you tent camp or trailer/rv camp, especially on the shore, you're going to love it. The lake is cool and refreshing and the basalt canyon scenery is gorgeous. The folks/family who run the place are friendly and helpful, and also run the small convenience store. Sometimes the wind really rips through this area, which is rough on tenters. And when there's no wind there's plenty of mosquitos, which is to be expected right by the water. No biggie! We come here for a week every year and we love it and look forward to it all year long.
I was in cabin 7. First thing, there was no TP. I had to go ask for it. Second, there was so much dog hair on the carpet and the furniture that I had to brush my socks off before I could put my shoes on. I only sat on the kitchen chair because I thought it was the one place that wouldn't have dog hair on it. There is no way that it had been vacuumed after the last guest. When I told the guy at the front office about it, he just said, I'll tell the cleaning guy. No apologies. I think the older trailers have charm, but this one was so dirty that I couldn't even see any charm. Be forewarned, if you want to stay here, bring a bucket, a mop, and a vacuum cleaner!
We love Blue Lake Resort!! Have been twice this Sumner and what a great family/dog friendly atmosphere!! We love to buy a place like this!!
