Due to Covid you can’t physically go to this place or they will turn you away or possibly not even be open when the website states different. They tell you to change your name that you have to send everything you have through the mail your birth certificate, ID, SS card etc.... Which is so scary to me!!! But, I did it anyways. I waited about a week or two to just hear nothing back. I finally got someone on the phone just to tell me that basically the BlueRidge office basically no one goes to work there and that they only pick up the mail once a month. If anyone needs anything done, I suggest going to Gainesville. You’ll have way better lucky there.

Closed on Wednesdays! I checked the Social Security page and it said they are open on Wednesdays. I just drove all the way up there and they are closed!!!!
The representative was extremely rude and had a nasty attitude when I was simply asking questions on how to get my children’s social cards .
I almost didn’t choose this location based on bad reviews and I am so glad that I didn’t make a further, unnecessary trip! I was in and out in under twenty minutes. I checked in at 10:09 and was back to my car at 10:23. Every one that I encountered were friendly and professional. Great, local location. Hopefully soon they will expand their hours to further be able to help the surrounding communities! Thanks!
