Great place with a long history. Current owners have done a marvelous job restoring the building after a devistaing fire. Terrific personal collection of period memorabilia.
Beautiful home, and I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The furnishings and decorations are not original as there was a fire in the late 1900s which destroyed the roof and upper floors. So if you're looking for authentic antebellum or southern furnishings , this is not the place. However, I still enjoyed the tour and the beautiful grounds.
Lovely home and very knowledgeable guide. The snacks they offer at the end of the tour ‘are’ available for sale but we never felt pressured. Rather we got to try foods we never had before that were yummy!
A mansion on the historical registry that has been completely restored after a fire by a young couple 20 years ago. Beautiful! Amazing! AND you can sit on the furniture! Okay, not all but most of it.
