Had such a good time snowboarding with my girlfriend and friends at Bogus! This was my first time ever snowboarding or skiing and it was a blast!! I was in so much pain from falling a ton but it was still well worth it. We will back! Enjoying eating some snack and drinking by the fire in between snowboarding. The night time ski was awesome!! We got there at 3pm right when the night time ski started and it was cool to experience the slopes in the day time and night time.

It is a mountain ski area which is only 16 miles from Boise city. The top elevation of Bogus Basin is 7582 ft, but the base elevation is 5790 ft. It has 2,600 acres of daytime skiable terrain and 165 acres for night skiing and riding; seven lifts and three people-mover carpets; and an 800-foot tubing hill. I went there when I was in Boise both in summer and winter. The drive there from Boise was an exciting experience for us. The two lane Bogus Basin Road turns 172 times and gains 3400 feet in elevation. The natural beauty of the road is mesmerizing I would say. I enjoyed the snow tubing with my friends in winter. When I visited in summer, I was amazed to see the gem mining machine. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Boise.

One of my favorite places for snow sport. Decent prices, good powder.

Bob is an amazing ski instructor. He's very patient and a great teacher. If you're nervous about your first time skiing, ask for Bob as your private instructor. Skiing is so much more fun with people like him. Relax and enjoy the magnificent resort. A very positive aspect is that you can bring your own food inside and spend the day with your family not having to worry about what kind of food is available. Bring your own and enjoy it.

I purchased a Powder Alliance pass that was supposed to include this mountain but they conveniently blacked out all the dates when working people can make it out there. They don't want my money, Idaho doesn't want my money. That's fine. I'll ride elsewhere. I'll never waste my money on a powder alliance pass again! Next year Icon or Epic!!
