Absolutely loved it here, wonderful horse farm with beautiful horses with an amazing surrounding. My children loved walking thru the stables and seeing all the horses. Then we enjoyed a short escorted ride. Great place for quick horseback riding fun.

What a beautiful and loving atmosphere for riding. The owner and staff are so nice and make you feel very welcomed. This was a first time ride for my mother who is over 70 and the stable staff were so patient with her (she can be a handful). She was given a docile horse to help with her first horse riding experience. My other family members went along for the riding experience and enjoyed every moment. My daughter took advantage of the shorter riding experience so that she could get over her fear from a horse incident from 5th grade. I'm grateful for the patience and genuine sincerity staff showed my family. I highly recommend this family owned stables. You can tell the horses are well loved here.

My boyfriend called & booked a trail ride on Dec 23 for my birthday Jan 2nd and we were so excited. He asked multiple times over the phone if we needed confirmation or needed to make the reservation online and we were assured that making the reservation over the phone was fine. We showed up Jan 2nd at 10 am which was our scheduled time, and no one was there. We called the number on the front door... no answer. Finally a car pulled up and it was only someone that boarded their horses there. She was super sweet and eventually called the owner for us who seemingly answered her call (but not ours?) We were told that the stables were closed today and she had no record of our reservation at all. The owner told the girl that maybe she could get us in later that day or the next day & would call to fix the reservation (of course the forecast showed rain the next few days), but we agreed and passed along our name and number for the owner to call. Knowing it was supposed to rain, we ended up just going to another stable to try and get our ride in before the weather. We had a great trail ride at another stable. A day & a half later....still haven’t heard from the owner at Grandfather stables. I understand that things happen... but it would have been nice to have been contacted about our lost reservation considering we were going to be paying 120. We are so disappointed in our experience here

I had a friend who came here, and she got thrown off the horse. The management did nothing about it and blamed it on the rider. Save yourself the ER trip and don’t go here. Also, the trail she was taken on was very narrow. One wrong move and she would have fallen! Don’t recommend at all!!
