I work there at the mine of borax. I've been there for over 21yrs. As of now the visiter center is close do to the covid 19.

It was great. Everything was simple and accommodating
I consulted on an environmental project at no charge for Rio Tinto Boron for 3 years with the understanding I'd get the contract to do the actual work. I spent thousands of dollars on lab analysis for their benefit. Rio Tinto Boron then turned around after 3 years of my labor and gave the project to somebody else. In short Rio Tinto is happy to have you spend your own money with the empty promise you will be rewarded. They will lead you along and then dump you after you've performed the yeoman portion of the work. Be careful when you deal with them.
