Great place! I came here to work and have a wonderful meal. And coffee and crepes for dessert? You can't have a bad time here. Excited to check it out again with another menu item!
I had dinner here tonight with my husband and kids, we decided to try it instead of a chain restaurant. It was a good experience and somehow not awkward even though we were the only diners in the restaurant at the time. They even have a kids menu that my 2 and 6 year old enjoyed. My daughter asked to go back soon.
This place is great. I got the house meat and burek meat pie and all of it was delicious. The house meat is probably going to last 4-5 meals its so much.
Truly a wonderful restaurant and a hidden gem of Henrico. We were greeted by one of the owners, who was incredibly welcoming and gave us fantastic service. The food was great too -- it tasted hot and fresh. Go here! Pic: the Bosnian coffee -- a great coffee experience if you are an enthusiast
omg this place is amazing. I used to go to Balkan over near Regency, and not to say that they are bad, it's hard to compare amazing vs amazing, but this place is closer to me and has better hours. The menus are slightly different so I'd say go with whichever is closer, or whichever has exactly what you want. Balkan gives you kajmak (I think?, it's different but better than sour cream) with their meals, and Bosna gives you regular sour cream and also ajvar, so again, preference. Bosna is a little bit more expensive, but their portions are larger, so it's a wash for value. If you haven't had Balkan area cuisine, well, try both, it's so good. I'll probably still go to both places since they are both amazing, but Bosna won me over for just swinging by instead of making a special trip out of it.
The best. Went here with my 2 brothers, we ordered a ton of cevapi, and we like cevapi. Perfectly done. Great decor & atmosphere in the restaurant, Balkan music or tv is on. Truly the perfect place, the customer service is also out of this world. Great people!
Always tasty and always friendly. Great cevapi (little skinless beef sausages) and pljeskavica (burgers). Tonight I had goulash and a nice soup (tarhana). And a very nice Croatian wine (Trapan Teran Terra Mare). Two thumbs way up.
