Highly skilled, meticulous, thorough, patient and kind!! I could go on, but Dr. Gaz is known to be among “the best” for thyroid surgeries and for good reason. His reputation in this area is very wide. From what I understand, his technique is masterful both inside and out (I heard many nurses comment on how he could be a plastic surgeon because the scars look so amazing). Throughout our hospital experience, I only heard everyone say “you know you got the best, right?!” It was very reassuring, and I do believe things likely would not have turned out nearly as well with anyone else. Dr. Gaz, quite surprisingly, even takes the time to respond “in-person” to the many questions that come up along the way - even administrative ones. We feel so incredibly fortunate to have benefited from his experience and expertise! Thank you for helping our daughter Dr. Gaz!!

Dr. Gaz and all the staff at Mass General are so kind and professional. Outstanding nursing staff. Dr. Gaz makes himself very available for questions and information he is an incredibly skilled and patient surgeon.
After many years of being treated for thyroid problems, I feel blessed to have found Dr Gaz to perform my thryoidectomy in September of 2017. He couldn’t have been more professional and thorough in his explanation of the operation and the outcome and recovery was even better and easier than I had anticipated. Thank you Dr Gaz (and Joy too).
From my personal experience- Randall Gaz is a phenomenal surgeon, and a good human being. The second part may matter to you or not. His office staff(Joy) is absolutely top notch, courteous, prompt, friendly etc. she answers the phone, no machines, no press 5, then 9, then 4 then leave a message and cross your fingers. In fact, one time I called and Dr Gaz answered the phone. He is awesome. Truly one of a kind. The hospital (MGH) is extremely busy but I found it to run like a well oiled machine. My surgery was handled perfectly from pre-op visits right through recovery. The day of the surgery went perfectly, and Each and every staff member made me feel like I was the only one there that day.
