A lot of free extras, which was a nice surprise. Wish there were more pescatarian (non-meat) options available; I believe there were only 3 positions on the whole menu.

Food Overall the food was great, but there were two disappointments, considering we paid 445 including tips. I ordered the chef menu while my husband ordered from the regular menu. The two dishes impressed me the most were Black Cod and Seared Foie Gras. They were cooked perfectly and the taste was mind blowing. My husband ordered Foie Gras, Shrimp Spaghetti, and Dried Aged Steak. The spaghetti was amazing. It was definitely the best we have had in Boston. Now let’s talk about the two disappointments. First of, I paid additional 40 to replace my strip-loin with American wagyu. After my first bite, I immediately knew that was not wagyu. Even though our waitress confirmed they served wagyu, but I was so disappointed. The steak was not cooked very well and it was chewy. I cannot believe any medium rare wagyu can be chewy. The second disappointment was the trio ice cream. What a mediocre ice cream. We might as well get it from a supermarket. Everything else The restaurant was very classy and the service was good. It was odd that most waiters and waitresses have a thick accent and it was hard to understand especially through the mask.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Boston but the quality seems going down a bit this time. The venison tartare with fermented blueberry and clotted cream is an interesting combination, but the cabbage roll from the duck breast doesn’t work well with the rest of this dish. The service wasn’t as good this time either.

A place worth dining at to celebrate a moment in life when in Boston. Great food created by master chefs, we continue to have really great and memorable experiences here.
