I did a Meet Up class a couple of years ago in person, but now having to social distance, I'm so thrilled that Suzanne is doing these classes remotely. So much easier than I thought it would be. The content is awesome, and having a week to go out on your own adventure in search for those in-theme perfect photos is great. Then, we meet up again (via Zoom) to hear critique and see others' photos as well - great interaction. It's a great learning experience, great to meet new people, and it's something fun to do while being cooped up!!! Thank you Suzanne.

Suzanne is an amazing teacher, not just an instructor, in every truest sense of the word. Her style of teaching and approach is so special, I tell everyone I highly recommend this to that it is not only a photography class but more importantly, a way, of seeing - to see more creatively and in a different way, even the most mundane, and not only that, but also a way of being present and in the moment, mindfully. I have been attending her classes for years, both the in-person classes and recently, the online seminars and in either setting, she continues to excel and she always offers something fresh, even if you take the same class over again. She comes very well-prepared and at such a high level of commitment to her students. Her classes and the students who come also foster a great feeling of community and very supportive of each other so there is no negative pressure to perform but just to truly enjoy the experience of photography.

Suzanne has been my photography teacher and mentor for several years. She is an exceptionally talented photographer and skilled instructor. Suzanne has helped me to become a more creative and patient photographer, and has guided me to see the world with a photographer's eye. Her format is unique and makes learning fun. She also has a way of bringing students together to offer critiques in a sensitive and constructive way. Study with Suzanne Merritt. I know that you will be happy you did.

My camera skills were nearly nonexistent prior to my discovery of Suzanne's classes some six years ago. I've since taken numerous group and individual classes that she's offered and have improved to an extent that I wouldn't have thought possible, both technically and from a composition standpoint. The Zoom classes she's been providing during the cloistered COVID period are always well-attended and have been a lifeline for continuing to pursue a shared passion.

Suzanne Merritt's photography classes are informative, varied, challenging, supportive, collegial, well-organized and fun! Her in-person - on-location- classes are great. Her Zoom classes are just as great. Her range of expertise is guaranteed to keep you engaged: street, color, light, under-foot, night, architecture, nitty-gritty, wabi sabi, seascape, landscape, macro - there's more. I highly recommed her classes.
