This might be the only spot other than the castle island that you can fish without getting harrassed and removed by the authorities. Unfortunately for us who really enjoy fishing and purchased a fishing license have very few spots we can enjoy our hobby. Don't be misled by the harbor walk map that is said to be legal for fishing on the official mass gov website. One useful advice is not to fish when the cargo or cruise ship is docked or on the move. Great spot For a fresh ocean breeze and a great view of the harbor ...

It's interesting to watch a giant cruise ship launch.
Great port. Easy on and easy off. Best disembarkation I have ever experienced.
