A unique hot pot experience that allows each person to have individual hot pots and go to a buffet to decide their ingredients. Very wide selection of ingredients, vegetarian friendly. The service was great. Not a single water on the table went below half and the place was packed.

It was 1.5 hour drive just to get here. What an amazing experience! First time, broth itself was amazing... then all you can eat veggies and a meat platter!? Mmmmmmm... if you leave hungry, it's your own damn fault. I can't wait to come back!
Came in at 8pm and standing at the front desk for a moment while the front desk girl to finish her thing on hand-(understandable) BUT, she looked up and staring at me and my girlfriend, no greeting, no smile, just staring at us. And my girlfriend need to say "two people please" to break the quiet moments. She SIGH so loud that I can hear that with my AirPod was on my ears. She told me I don't need to sign the contact sheet even though I told her I wail be waiting for 45 minutes for the table. She even roll her eyes on me when I planned to wait on my car. I have been here for so many times that I can't even count. This is the first time ever this place gave me such disappointment that i don't ever want to come back to see her unwelcome face. Plus, I just went back to confirm my wait list, because I didn't receiving the first text, which I would normally do so I think there's something wrong. she didn't put my phone number correctly after me and my girlfriend repeated it for twice individually, so four times in total after I tell her my phone numbers. Which means I won't get any text after 45 minutes. WOW Well done! And her name Vanessa.
It reopened at last. It's as good as it was. Health safety measures are taken, you have to respect the distance, the bufe has got the sneeze guards and the stuff is dishing up for you. The food is tasty and very fresh. Service was good
Pros: I love how everyone in the group gets their own pot. Being a mild eater with friends who like spice this is a godsend. Plenty of variety at the buffet. Even if you forgo the meat add ons you can find ample options to fill your plate. Con: lack of labeling on sauce packets. Due to Covid they pack up sauces into little containers. However they aren’t labeled and it’s hard to know what is what. This is the only Reason I took off a star.
This place is great! Loved the food, very tasty with their broth. Had the mala broth. The atmosphere was clean, very well set up for covid safety, and it was plenty of food. For the price its a great deal for a nice night out. Get the matcha green tea ice cream too its delicious. 10/10 would recommend!
The buffet is more focused for hotpot so if you're looking for a wide variety of Japanese buffet, this isn't the place. Though its still a wonderful experience and I loved the food!!
Love this spot! My friends and I keep returning to Shabu for their delicious variety of food and great hotpot experience. I am so glad they were able to re-open amid the pandemic. Also a fantastic option for vegetarians/vegans as they offer so many yummy vegetables and greens. And don't forget to grab some soft serve at the end of your meal!! Delicious green tea and vanilla flavors.
