My now husband came to the US to work as a nanny with au pair internaional from Colombia. Not only the disfuncional family he was living with treated him unfairly but also the staff of the agency, the regional manager even blocked his number to keep him from contacting her, he just wanted help/advice with the issue he had with the crazy family in this country far from home. The Magluilo family from Boulder CO and the au pair internaional located in Boulder CO were really inhumane leaving a human being all alone in a unknown country with barely any money to buy his plane ticket back to Colombia.

We didn't have a great experience as a host family. Their area reps switched out every 2 to 3 months. The first two were completely useless, the third might have been decent but wasn't working with us long, and the fourth just started recently. (Edit: the forth isn't any better) It took them almost six months to get our au pair's email right, during which time she was left on her own. I would have said the one reason to go with this agency is that they are cheaper than the rest, but they recently raised their rates making that less of a point in their favor.
