On way to Hoover dam area. Cool area to see lake mead. Dress warm like we did in mid December. Winds were high and temps were cool. Winter coat, hat and gloves help to enjoy things depending on the time of year. Beautiful views. Amazing history.

View to Lake Mead is great, though winds will feel even cooler than normal with the sun is bright. I liked tge little history given also of the area.

The most beautiful view of Lake Mead available to the public! It's a quick stop on your way to the Hoover Dam. The overlook is free as well! Parking can be a hot mess, so be ready to drive around a bit or park on the side of the road. I recommend visiting either during sunrise or sunset for that picture-perfect moment!

The vista is beautiful. A commanding view of the lake and its surrounding area. There is a viewing stand with an overhang that provides shelter from sun and any rain. This spot is windy, so I imagine it’s refreshing in the summer and I guarantee that it is bone chilling in the winter.
