Great views, and an appropriately sized museum and exhibits detailing what NCAR does and why it's important. Special area telling the history of the architecturally significant building and layout. Area describing the computer sever racks/mainframe. Given that it's free, this is an incredible experience to see inside this important institution.

Well. It was a really great place. I visited this place with my friend who used to work at NCAR. It seems a great place to work. Plus, the visitor center was very informative.

Beautiful building in a cimmanding location. Awesome interactive exhibits on Earth's weather patterns, phenomenology, and predictions, as well exhibits on I.M. Pei's architecture and Solar/Space studies. Great place for kids and adults, and it's free! The views from here are awesome and parking for the local hiking trails is free.

A Really really good museum, I wish everybody would visit it and act accordingly. The building itself spectacular and worth while seeing in it's own right.

Today I used NCAR for its parking lot and easy access to boulder open space hiking trails, as I’m sure many of the other reviews mention. While it’s always been a favorite spot, I’m sure usage has increased since boulder began restricting parking at the open space lots to county residents (jerks). Despite its quick, easy and free access to great hiking, you can’t overlook the research conducted here and its impact. The visitor center is open every day and a variety of tour options are available. The public can also access restrooms and the cafeteria.
